Note: After finishing the first procedure, the standby spindle will abut to the main spindle, then the main spindle carry out to load the part and the standby spindle process the turning at the same time.
(4) flow chart of the loading and turning:
For this double spindle lathe with 90°flat bed, spindle 1 and spindle 2 can move in the Z axial direction while the saddle board 1 and saddle board 2 can move in both the X-axial and Y-axial direction . The servo robot snatch at the rough part from the stock bin platform and move to the main spindle C1 chuck ,where the part is served to be turned.
After finishing the spindle C1 processing, spindle C1 and C2 will move to the abutment platform together. After their abutment ,the spindle C2 begins the turning while the spindle C1 begins to feed the rough part for the thereafter turning.
The spindle C2 will move to the abutment platform after finishing the turning and the robot then snatches back the finished part to the conveying belt .Thereafter the spindle C2 waits for the spindle C1 for another working cycle, and so on.
